Murals

The NSBIA has a Mural plan to create 10 original works of outdoor art within the next 5 years. The mural locations will be focused on the main routes into and out of McArthur Island Park and along the Tranquille Market.

Our first mural was an abstract, Working on My Bike While You Play Guitar by Melody Tompkins produced in 2004 at the corner of Yew and Tranquille.

Our second mural, completed last summer, is a collage of images entitled Summer Rush by Kylene Cachelin. This mural is located at 391 Tranquille Road where McKenzie Avenue comes into Tranquille Road.

Our third mural, at 534 Tranquille Road (the Powder Keg building) is a landscape also by Kylene Cachelin.
