North Shore Art

The North Shore BIA is proud to be the partners of two significant art initiatives right here on the North Shore. Both are joint efforts with the Kamloops Arts Council.

Art Market

The Wilson House Extension Gallery is a satellite gallery of the Kamloops Arts Council. It is located on the main floor of our Wilson Heritage House at 115 Tranquille Road. Every month we feature a new artist and their works; the artists are drawn from the membership of the Arts Council.

The Wilson House Extension Gallery is a place for local artisans to display their creative work to the public in a friendly open setting.

The diversre artwork from these local artists creates a fresh view of the world on a regular, monthly basis.

Art Walk

The second partnership is the North Shore Art Walk. Beginning on July 29 and running until September 5th, local artists are teamed up with local merchants to have their artwork showcased in store windows. There are currently 32 businesses participating in the 2011 Art Walk.

This is a fantastic opportunity for local artists to display their work to the public in a risk free environment. Its also a very exciting and different way for the artists to get their names out in the community.

For the business, this is a venue for free publicity and a means to attract many different people to your business who are wishing to view the art.

A map of all the participating stores can be found here!
