About Us

The North Shore Business Improvement Association (NSBIA) is an association of commercial property and business owners with a mandate to expand the business opportunities on the North Shore of Kamloops.

We currently take up residence in the historical Wilson Street Heritage House. This house was originally built in the 1920's and has been fully restored to its original glory. At one time, it was the home to Stewart Wilson, the first Commissioner of the Council of North Kamloops (equivalent to the modern day mayor). It is now at 115 Tranquille Road.

Our funding is grounded through a levy on the commercial tax base and we function as a self-help mechanism for those owners who wish to involve themselves in the development issues of the day. We work for the members who pay the tax and are blessed with a history of strong involvement from key owners. The NSBIA provides a forum and a "voice" for managing the investment climate in our business area.
